When a customer sends you a Cam request, NiteFlirt gives you multiple ways to know a session is waiting. You'll receive an on-site notification with a continuous chime, as well as an automated phone call from 1-800-863-5478.
If you have the NiteFlirt PWA installed with Push Notifications enabled, you can also receive a PWA push notification.

On-site Cam Notifications
If you're logged into your NiteFlirt account when a customer clicks Cam Now on your Cam Listing, an incoming Cam request notification will appear on which ever NiteFlirt page you are currently on, and a chime will play to get your attention. The chime continues until you Accept or Decline the request.
The notification shows:
- The customer's Member Name
- The Cam Listing they're requesting
- Your per-minute rate
- Quick access to Customer Details
- Accept and Decline options
Important: To hear the incoming Cam chime, your device volume must be turned up and your browser must be allowed to play sound from NiteFlirt. If browser sound or autoplay is blocked, the Cam request can still appear onscreen, but you won't hear the chime.
Automated Phone Alert
When a customer sends you a Cam request, NiteFlirt will also place an automated phone call to let you know that a Cam Session is waiting for you.
The call comes from 1-800-863-5478, the same number used for NiteFlirt calls. This call is only an alert that you have an incoming Cam request. To accept and join the Cam Session, return to NiteFlirt on the device you plan to use for Cam.
📞 Don't miss the call! Save 1-800-863-5478 as a contact and make sure your phone or carrier isn't blocking or filtering calls from this number.
Browser Sound Settings
If you can see incoming Cam requests but aren't hearing the notification chime, first make sure your computer or device isn't muted and the correct speakers or audio output device are selected.
You'll also want to make sure your browser is allowed to play sound from NiteFlirt. Follow the steps for the browser you're using below.
Google Chrome
- Open NiteFlirt in Google Chrome.
- Click the Site Settings icon next to the address bar.
- Find Sound and make sure it's set to Allow.
- Refresh NiteFlirt if prompted.
Safari
- Open NiteFlirt in Safari.
- From the Safari menu, select Settings for This Website....
- Find Auto-Play and select Allow All Auto-Play.
- Make sure the NiteFlirt tab and your device aren't muted.
Firefox
- Open NiteFlirt in Firefox.
- Click the permissions icon next to the address bar.
- Find the Autoplay permission.
- Set Autoplay to Allow Audio and Video.
Good to know: Browser settings can vary slightly by browser version and device. If sound is already allowed but you still can't hear the Cam chime, double-check your device volume, browser tab volume, and selected audio output.
PWA Push Notifications
Installing the Progressive Web App (PWA) and enabling Push Notifications gives you an additional way to receive Cam alerts. Since the PWA can deliver incoming Cam alerts directly to your phone or tablet, this is especially helpful when you aren't actively watching your NiteFlirt account!
Installing the NiteFlirt PWA
Don't have the PWA installed yet? Check out Installing the NiteFlirt PWA on Mobile Devices for step-by-step instructions for iPhone, iPad, and Android.
Enabling PWA Push Notifications
There are two parts to setting up PWA push notifications:
- Enable Push Notifications in NiteFlirt. Open the NiteFlirt PWA and go to â‹® > Account Info > Push Notifications, then select Enable.
- Allow NiteFlirt notifications on your device. Your device must also have permission to display notifications from NiteFlirt.
For detailed instructions, check out Enabling PWA Notifications on Mobile Devices.
👂 Make Sure You Can Hear PWA Alerts
Enabling Push Notifications allows NiteFlirt to send incoming Cam request notifications to your device, but seeing a PWA notification doesn't necessarily mean you'll hear it. Whether the notification chime plays also depends on your notification sound and device sound settings.
To ensure you can also hear when those Push Notifications come through, make sure:
- Push Notifications are enabled in your NiteFlirt Account.
- NiteFlirt notifications are allowed on your device.
- Notification sounds are enabled for NiteFlirt.
- Your device's volume is turned up and isn't muted.
- Silent Mode, Do Not Disturb, Focus, or similar settings aren't preventing notification sounds.
iPhone & iPad
On an iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Notifications > NiteFlirt and make sure:
- Allow Notifications is turned on.
- Sounds is turned on.
Also make sure your device isn't set to Silent and that your volume is turned up.
Android
On Android, go to Settings > Apps > NiteFlirt > Notifications and make sure notifications are allowed.
Depending on your Android device, you may also have separate options for notification sounds. Make sure notification sounds are enabled, your notification volume is turned up, and your device isn't set to Silent or Do Not Disturb.
Not Getting Cam Notifications?
If customers are trying to Cam with you but you aren't seeing or hearing incoming requests, check the following:
- Make sure your Call Status is ON (Taking Calls).
- Make sure your Cam Listing is set to Accepts Calls.
- If you're relying on the onsite notification, make sure you're logged into NiteFlirt.
- Make sure your browser is allowed to play sound from NiteFlirt.
- Check that your device volume is turned up and the correct audio output is selected.
- If you're using the PWA, make sure notifications are enabled for NiteFlirt in your device settings.
- If you're receiving PWA notifications but don't hear them, make sure Sounds are enabled for NiteFlirt notifications and that your device volume is turned up and your device isn't muted or set to Silent.
