How to Chat During a Cam Session
In-Session Chat works just like regular NiteFlirt Chat! You can exchange text messages, share images, use emojis, and send Tributes, all while your Cam Session continues.
To send a Chat message during a Cam Session:
- Start a Cam Session with your Flirt.
- Click or tap the Chat button in the controls at the bottom of your Cam Session.
- The Chat panel will open, allowing you to send messages to your Flirt while your Cam Session continues.
On desktop, Chat opens alongside your video feed. On mobile, Chat appears as an overlay over your video feed.
You and your Flirt can open or close Chat independently. Closing your Chat panel won't close it for your Flirt, and your Cam Session will continue uninterrupted.
In-Session Chat uses the same conversation you have with your Flirt outside of Cam. Your previous messages will be visible, and any messages exchanged during the Cam Session will be saved to your regular Chat history.
Good to know: On mobile devices, In-Session Chat is only available in portrait orientation. If you're holding your device in landscape mode, you'll see a "Rotate for chat" prompt. Rotate your device to portrait to open Chat.
Are You Charged for Chat During Cam Sessions?
No additional Chat Volley charges apply during an active Cam Session. You'll continue paying your Cam Session's per-minute rate, but messages and images exchanged through Chat won't incur separate charges.
- Messages and images exchanged during a Cam Session don't incur additional Chat Volley charges.
- Messages sent through the regular Chat page while your Cam Session is active also won't incur Chat Volley charges.
- Any available promotional Chat Volleys won't be used during the session.
- Once your Cam Session ends, normal Chat Volley pricing resumes.
Good to know: Tributes are charged separately. If you send a Tribute during a Cam Session, you'll only be charged the Tribute amount, with no additional Chat Volley charge.
When Is In-Session Chat Available?
In-Session Chat is available during both Two-Way Cam and Flirt Cam Off sessions, as long as your Flirt is enrolled in NiteFlirt Chat or you already have an existing Chat conversation with them.
If your Flirt is enrolled in Chat, you can exchange messages during your Cam Session even when their Chat Status is turned off.
If your Flirt isn't enrolled in Chat and you don't already have an existing conversation, In-Session Chat won't be available.
In-Session Chat Notifications
If your Flirt sends you a message while your Chat panel is closed, you'll see a notification above your Cam controls with a preview of their message.
Click or tap the notification to open Chat, or dismiss it if you'd prefer to keep your video feed unobstructed. Notifications automatically disappear after five seconds.
If you navigate away from your Cam Session while it's still active, you'll continue receiving new Chat message notifications. Clicking one will return you to your Cam Session and open Chat.
Having Trouble With In-Session Chat?
Here are a few things to check if In-Session Chat isn't working as expected:
- Don't see the Chat button? Try refreshing your Cam Session to see if the Chat controls appear.
- Can't open Chat on mobile? Make sure your device is in portrait orientation.
- Not seeing new messages? If your Chat panel is closed, look for notifications above your Cam controls.
