Before joining a Cam Session, your browser or device may ask for permission to use your camera and microphone. These permissions allow you to share video and audio with the Flirt during your session.
This guide explains how to allow camera and microphone access, manage your audio and video during a Cam Session, and update your browser or device settings if permission has been blocked.
For the best Cam experience, we recommend using the latest version of Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or the NiteFlirt PWA.
You can still join a Cam Session if your camera or microphone is blocked or turned off. However, you won't be able to use the affected device until permission is granted or it's turned back on.

Allowing Camera & Microphone Access
The first time you join a Cam Session, your browser or device may ask whether NiteFlirt can access your camera and microphone. Select Allow for both devices.
Google Chrome
If your camera or microphone isn't working in Chrome, check NiteFlirt's site permissions:
- Open any page on niteflirt.com.
- Click the Site Settings icon to the left of the address bar.
- Select Site settings.
- Under Permissions, set both Camera and Microphone to Allow.
- Refresh the page, then rejoin your Cam Session if prompted.
Tip: If you have more than one camera or microphone connected, Chrome also lets you choose which device you'd like to use.
Safari (Mac)
To update your camera or microphone permissions in Safari:
- Open any page on niteflirt.com.
- From the Safari menu, select Settings for This Website….
- Set both Camera and Microphone to Allow.
- Refresh the page if needed.
Please note: If Safari is blocked from using your camera or microphone at the macOS level, you'll also need to enable access in System Settings > Privacy & Security.
Safari (iPhone & iPad)
The first time you join a Cam Session on your iPhone or iPad, Safari may ask for permission to use your camera and microphone. If you denied permission, you can enable it again:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap Apps > Safari.
- Scroll to Camera and Microphone.
- Ensure access for Camera is set to Allow.
- Ensure access for Microphone is set to Allow.
- Return to Safari and refresh the page.
Good to know: Leaving Safari or locking your device during an active Cam Session may interrupt your video until you return.
NiteFlirt PWA (Home Screen App)
The NiteFlirt Progressive Web App (PWA) supports Cam Sessions and gives you a convenient way to access NiteFlirt directly from your device's Home Screen.
The first time NiteFlirt needs to use your camera or microphone through the PWA, your device may ask you to allow access. Select Allow for both.
If access was previously denied, check your device's camera and microphone permissions and make sure NiteFlirt is allowed to use the affected device.
Having trouble with permissions in the PWA?
- Check your device's camera and microphone permissions and make sure access is enabled.
- Completely close and reopen the PWA after changing your permissions.
- If the issue continues, remove the PWA from your Home Screen and reinstall it from your browser.
Firefox
To update your camera or microphone permissions in Firefox:
- Open any page on niteflirt.com.
- Click the permissions icon next to the address bar.
- Allow access to both your Camera and Microphone.
- Refresh the page, then rejoin your Cam Session if prompted.
Remember: If Firefox is set to always block your camera or microphone for NiteFlirt, you'll need to update those site permissions before you can use the affected device during Cam.
Changing Your Settings During a Cam Session
You can turn your camera or microphone on or off at any time during an active Cam Session.
- Click the Camera button to start or stop sharing video.
- Click the Microphone button to mute or unmute yourself.
Turning off your camera or microphone does not end the Cam Session. Billing continues until you or the Flirt ends the session.
Leaving the Cam window? Switching browser tabs, opening another app, or receiving a full-screen interruption may temporarily interrupt your camera and microphone until you return to the Cam window. Your Cam Session may remain active, and billing continues until the session ends.
Tips for the Best Experience
- Use an updated browser: The latest versions of Chrome, Safari, and Firefox provide the best Cam experience.
- Close other camera apps: FaceTime, Zoom, or another app may prevent your browser from accessing the camera or microphone.
- Select the correct device: If more than one camera, microphone, speaker, or headset is connected, confirm that you're using the one you want.
- Check your connection: A reliable Wi-Fi, wired, or cellular connection helps keep audio and video smooth.
- Use headphones when possible: Headphones can reduce echo and improve audio quality.
