Chat Settings & Alerts lets you control how Chat works for you, including SMS notifications, Quiet Hours, your verified phone number, and Online Presence settings.
These settings help you decide when you're notified about new Chats and whether Flirts can see when you're active on the site.

To access Chat Settings, click the Personal Info icon from your Account page.
Then select Contact Settings from the left menu.
Chat Alerts
Turn Chat Alerts on to receive SMS notifications when a Flirt sends you a Chat message.
You can also enable Quiet Hours if there are times you don't want to receive SMS alerts.
Chat Alerts are only sent by SMS if you haven’t been active on your NiteFlirt account for 30 minutes or more. This helps avoid unnecessary alerts when you're already on the site.
Once you reply to a message, text alerts should stop within about a minute.

Understanding SMS Status Icons
Each phone number on your account displays an icon showing whether it is configured to receive SMS Chat alerts.
These indicators help you quickly identify which numbers are enabled for Chat notifications and whether any additional setup, such as verification, is required.
Click the tooltip next to Phone Numbers to see what each icon means.
Online Presence
Online Presence lets Flirts know when you're active on the site. This setting is turned on by default.
To turn Online Presence off, switch the Let Flirts see when I'm online toggle to Off.
Good to know: Turning off Online Presence hides your green activity indicator, but it does not disable Chat or prevent you from sending and receiving messages.
When Online Presence is enabled, a green dot appears on your avatar in a Flirt’s chat list and chat header. A green dot also appears on your avatar in the navigation area of your Account while you're active on the site.
Your online activity automatically times out after 30 minutes of inactivity.
Managing Chat Settings gives you more control over how and when you stay connected with Flirts while still protecting your privacy and preferences.
