You can set your Chat Availability and turn Chat Alerts on or off in the Availability section of your Account page.
"Available - Chat Alerts On" |
Use this setting when you're available to chat and want to receive alerts. Your Chat Card will show "online" when you're active on the site. SMS alerts are sent only if you’ve been inactive for 30 minutes or more to avoid interruptions while you're using the site. Once you reply, alerts will stop after about a minute. For the fastest and most reliable notifications, we recommend installing our PWA (Progressive Web App), which will send you push notifications for any new chats. |
"Available - Chat Alerts Off" | Use this setting when you are available to chat and do not want to receive Chat Alerts. Your Chat Card will display "online" when you're actively on the site and available for Chats. |
"Not Available" |
Use this setting when you're unavailable to chat. Customers will be notified that replies may be delayed, but try to respond within 12 hours to earn a volley! Your Chat Card will display "offline" when you're not available for Chats even when you're actively on the site. |
If you want to avoid Chat Alerts during certain times (like when you're sleeping), use the "Quiet hours" option. With quiet hours enabled, your Chat Card will show "offline" even if you're set to "Available" and active on the site.
